Overview

The COVID-19 pandemic led to a significant increase in the need for technology experts as businesses shifted to digital platforms. Unfortunately, many people encountered financial challenges due to the steep prices of necessary courses. To tackle this issue, Pravaler, a Brazilian fintech focused on student loans, introduced a financing solution for short-term courses called “Financiamento Curta Duração.”


This option allows students to finance their short-term education with flexible repayment plans, making it more manageable to pay for costly programs. It opens the door for individuals to enter the job market more quickly by eliminating financial barriers, helping more aspiring professionals to start their careers sooner.

High Course Costs: 

Many tech courses were priced high and provided only a few payment options, making it difficult for a large audience to take advantage of them.

Expensive Payment Plans: 

Even when payment plans were offered, they frequently proved to be too pricey for a lot of students

Limited Eligibility: 

The available financing options were only applicable to courses that were a minimum of 2 years long, leaving out shorter programs that had a lot of interest.

Bureaucratic Approval Process: 

The approval process for financing was not quick, usually taking a minimum of 30 days and requiring a significant amount of documentation.
